Veer on course.

Veer will achieve breakthrough momentum by deploying the first clean container ship to cross an ocean.

Oceans of solutions, delivered.

Our mission is to nurture & deploy clean innovation.

Veer will achieve breakthrough momentum by deploying the first clean container ship to cross an ocean.

This momentum will scale through a pipeline of innovation developed in Veer’s ‘ocean-solutions nursery’, shaping a new era for the energy and shipping industries by implementing solutions in a first-mover capacity.

Within the shipping sector, Veer’s commitment to environmental and social excellence is incomparable.

Veer’s future-fit, fast, clean, cost-competitive fleet combines innovative hull shape, DynaRig sails, and hydrogen fuel cells for greater speed and range, as well as boasting a ‘‘Silent-E Notation’’, making it perfect for Green Shipping Corridors, Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), and exemption from the EU Emission Trading System (ETS).

Veer’s Design N°1 is defined as ‘‘absolute zero emissions’’ by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), and has received complete Approval in Principle (AiP) from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Design N°1 was selected by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) as an exemplary vessel for industry studies on wind and hydrogen.

Veer’s fleet helps achieve national and corporate greenhouse gas reduction strategies and energy transition goals.

Veer’s movement is powered by clean and energy global impact investors.

Ship’s Features

High Quality - Low Weight

Veer ships are designed to be fast, reducing weight and increasing stability by using carbon fibre masts that are 62,5m high, and filled with pressure-sensing fibre-optic cables.

Veer complies with existing infrastructure, capable of carrying 160 containers (TEU), including reefer containers.

Future Proof

The streamlined hull is uniquely designed to deliver cargo carry capacity as well as speed.  A true sailing hull which will work with the wind and renewable elements of the ocean.

Due to the simple, modular design of the steel hull, these ships can be easily scaled, replicated, and adapted for the future.

Ocean-Wide Range

Ships of this design iteration are capable of traveling up to 1,200 nautical miles using only green hydrogen - a range that is greatly extended when combined with modern sail technology.

The first design of ship can travel at 18 knots under sail, making this iteration of Veer ships the fastest clean cargo ship in the world.
